8th March 2009 Windsurfing: Portland harbour Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F6-8 Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 8 Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny with showers Max Speed: 30knots (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: Arrived at around 9.30 and rigged my 5.5 on my Eagle and had a good half hour blasting around in the Sunshine although it was cold! The wind then as forcast picked up, so I rigged my 5.0m on the Rip, but was out only half an hour before overpowered again so then rigged my 4.5 impact which has not been used for two years and had an amazing afternoon just blasting around in 30knots of wind. Had some amazing broad reaching blasts down the beach followed by some sweat gybes on mirror flat water. Although it was cold and had three sail changes. I had a great session. Looking forward now to HIHO 2009! |
